Waves are a four piece alternative rock band from the Isle of Wight. Since forming in the late summer of 2012, Waves have gone on to play many different and prestigious venues across the south coast of the UK. After finding their feet online and in the local music scene Waves are set to release their debut EP 17/05/13.
Very happy to announce that we’ll be playing EDGEFEST. We are playing the SATURDAY August 10th, of the two day festival located at the Edge of the Wedge, Portsmouth. See you there! x

Last night was finally the big night. We had our EP launch party at the Wight Rock Bar and we’re incredibly proud to say that we SOLD IT OUT!

The last time we played this venue, it was our first ever gig back in August to a room of 40 or so people, fast forward 9 months down the line and we’re selling out our first show to a room of 150 sweaty people that are screaming our lyrics back at us and bringing us back on for an encore. This was the best gig of our lives, and we truly believe this a big step forward for us, we look forward to what the future brings.

Thank you so much for everybody who made this happen. Everybody who turned up, bought an EP, bought some merch, sang the lyrics, put their arms up in the air, got photos, gave us hugs - Thank you, everything you do goes a long way and we really appreciate every single one of you.

We’re SO happy and excited that we can finally share with you what we have been busy recording. So here we are, our brand new single, Roll With The Punches which is taken from our EP :)

Thank you to everybody who has come to see us live, said nice words or simply followed us online. You’re all so important to us and we appreciate your support greatly. Thank you thank you thank you.

This Friday, we release our EP on disk LIVE at the Wight Rock Bar in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Entry is only £3 and for a cheeky fiver, you’ll gain entry AND an EP with some freebies! We cannot wait for this show, it’s potentially going to be packed out, sweaty and full of people having a good time!

Plus we’re delighted to announce that our EP will be available for worldwide download this Saturday, May 18th. It’s only £3, less than a quid a song, so don’t miss out! :)

EP TEASER #3 & NEWS!!!

(May 12th) We shall also be celebrating by joining our good friend James from Vectis Radio live on air to play it and discuss everything we’ve been up to over the last few months! We cannot wait, it’s under TWO WEEKS until the EP launches, and we’re SO excited! :)
